تُؤْتِىٓ أُكُلَهَا كُلَّ حِينٍۭ بِإِذْنِ رَبِّهَا ۗ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَالَ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَذَكَّرُونَ
جو اپنے پروردگار کے حکم سے ہر وقت اپنے پھل ﻻتا ہے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ لوگوں کے سامنے مثالیں بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ وه نصیحت حاصل کریں.
It produces its fruit all the time, by permission of its Lord. And Allāh presents examples for the people that perhaps they will be reminded.
۞ ٱللَّهُ نُورُ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ مَثَلُ نُورِهِۦ كَمِشْكَوٰةٍ فِيهَا مِصْبَاحٌ ۖ ٱلْمِصْبَاحُ فِى زُجَاجَةٍ ۖ ٱلزُّجَاجَةُ كَأَنَّهَا كَوْكَبٌ دُرِّىٌّ يُوقَدُ مِن شَجَرَةٍ مُّبَـٰرَكَةٍ زَيْتُونَةٍ لَّا شَرْقِيَّةٍ وَلَا غَرْبِيَّةٍ يَكَادُ زَيْتُهَا يُضِىٓءُ وَلَوْ لَمْ تَمْسَسْهُ نَارٌ ۚ نُّورٌ عَلَىٰ نُورٍ ۗ يَهْدِى ٱللَّهُ لِنُورِهِۦ مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَيَضْرِبُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلَ لِلنَّاسِ ۗ وَٱللَّهُ بِكُلِّ شَىْءٍ عَلِيمٌ
اللہ نور ہے آسمانوں اور زمین کا، اس کے نور کی مثال مثل ایک طاق کے ہے جس میں چراغ ہو اور چراغ شیشہ کی قندیل میں ہو اور شیشہ مثل چمکتے ہوئے روشن ستارے کے ہو وه چراغ ایک بابرکت درخت زیتون کے تیل سے جلایا جاتا ہو جو درخت نہ مشرقی ہے نہ مغربی خود وه تیل قریب ہے کہ آپ ہی روشنی دینے لگے اگرچہ اسے آگ نہ بھی چھوئے، نور پر نور ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے نور کی طرف رہنمائی کرتا ہے جسے چاہے، لوگوں (کے سمجھانے) کو یہ مثالیں اللہ تعالیٰ بیان فرما رہا ہے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ ہر چیز کے حال سے بخوبی واقف ہے.
Allāh is the Light of the heavens and the earth. The example of His light is like a niche within which is a lamp; the lamp is within glass, the glass as if it were a pearly [white] star lit from [the oil of] a blessed olive tree, neither of the east nor of the west, whose oil would almost glow even if untouched by fire. Light upon light. Allāh guides to His light whom He wills. And Allāh presents examples for the people, and Allāh is Knowing of all things.
