Quranic Word Explorer is operated by the Quranic Word Explorer team. For privacy requests, email contact@quranicwordexplorer.com.

2. Information we collect

You can browse the public study content without creating an account. If you create an account, our authentication and database provider may store your email address, encrypted authentication details, session data, bookmarks, notes, and learning progress.

Your browser and our hosting/database providers may also process basic technical information such as IP address, device type, browser type, request logs, and security events. This is used to operate, secure, and maintain the Service.

3. Saved learning data

If you use account features, we store the content you choose to save: bookmarked words or ayahs, private notes, spaced-repetition status, review dates, and learning progress. This lets the app sync your study state across sessions and devices.

4. How we use information

• To create and secure your account.
• To save bookmarks, notes, and learning progress.
• To operate, troubleshoot, protect, and improve the Service.
• To respond to privacy requests, legal requests, and correction reports.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

5. Third-party processors

We use third-party services such as Supabase for authentication and database storage, plus hosting, font, text, and audio providers needed to run the app. These providers may process data according to their own policies and may store data outside your country. 6. Cookies and local storage

We use necessary cookies and browser storage for functions such as keeping you signed in, remembering your theme preference, and maintaining app state. We do not use these for advertising profiling.

7. Your choices and rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data. You can remove saved bookmarks and notes inside the app. For account deletion or other privacy requests, email contact@quranicwordexplorer.com.

8. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If your account is deleted, we remove or anonymise personal data where reasonably possible, except where retention is required for legal, security, or legitimate operational reasons.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so you should also protect your account credentials and use a strong password.

10. Children

The Service is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children where parental consent would be required by law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us and we will review the request.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
