The Arabic Qur’an is the only Qur’an

The Qur’an is the literal word of Allah, revealed in Arabic. The Arabic text is the Qur’an. Any Urdu or English translation shown in Quranic Word Explorer is a human rendering of meaning. It is not the Qur’an itself, cannot fully capture the original Arabic, and must not be treated as equal to the revealed text.

Translations and word meanings are limited

Translations, word-by-word glosses, roots, lemmas, morphology, and grammar notes are provided for learning and convenience. A short gloss cannot represent every shade of meaning, scholarly discussion, context, or valid interpretive difference. These aids are not tafsir, fatwa, or a religious ruling.

Data may contain mistakes

Although we try to use reliable sources and careful processing, the app may contain errors, omissions, mismatches, broken links, typographical issues, incorrect morphology, translation problems, or audio mistakes. Some data is imported, transformed, indexed, and displayed by software, and software processing can introduce errors.

No guarantee of completeness or accuracy

The content is provided in good faith, but we do not guarantee that it is complete, current, accurate, or suitable for any particular purpose. You use the content at your own discretion and are responsible for verifying anything important before relying on it.

Consult qualified scholars

Quranic Word Explorer is not a substitute for qualified scholars, teachers, authentic tafsir, tajwid instruction, or recognised Islamic scholarship. For matters of belief, worship, practice, law, or religious advice, consult trustworthy qualified scholars and reliable sources.

Qur’anic text, translations, morphology data, fonts, and recitation audio may come from third-party providers. We credit the main providers on the Sources & Attribution page. We are not responsible for changes, outages, licensing decisions, or errors in third-party services.

No affiliation or religious authority

Quranic Word Explorer is an independent educational project unless we explicitly state otherwise. We do not claim religious authority and do not claim endorsement by any scholar, institution, source provider, reciter, or publisher.
