وَإِذْ تَأَذَّنَ رَبُّكُمْ لَئِن شَكَرْتُمْ لَأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ ۖ وَلَئِن كَفَرْتُمْ إِنَّ عَذَابِى لَشَدِيدٌ
اور جب تمہارے پروردگار نے تمہیں آگاه کر دیا کہ اگر تم شکر گزاری کرو گے تو بیشک میں تمہیں زیاده دوں گا اور اگر تم ناشکری کرو گے تو یقیناً میرا عذاب بہت سخت ہے.
And [remember] when your Lord proclaimed, 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you [in favor]; but if you deny, indeed, My punishment is severe.'"
وَأَنَّ عَذَابِى هُوَ ٱلْعَذَابُ ٱلْأَلِيمُ
اور ساتھ ہی میرے عذاب بھی نہایت دردناک ہیں.
And that it is My punishment which is the painful punishment.
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ
بتاؤ میرا عذاب اور میری ڈرانے والی باتیں کیسی رہیں؟
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ
قوم عاد نے بھی جھٹلایا پس کیسا ہوا میرا عذاب اور میری ڈرانے والی باتیں.
ʿAad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ
پس کیسی رہی میری سزا اور میرا ڈرانا؟
And how [severe] were My punishment and warning.
