لَّهُمْ عَذَابٌ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَلَعَذَابُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ أَشَقُّ ۖ وَمَا لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ
ان کے لئے دنیا کی زندگی میں بھی عذاب ہے، اور آخرت کا عذاب تو بہت ہی زیاده سخت ہے، انہیں اللہ کے غضب سے بچانے واﻻ کوئی بھی نہیں.
For them will be punishment in the life of [this] world, and the punishment of the Hereafter is more severe. And they will not have from Allāh any protector.
وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَنزَلْنَـٰهُ حُكْمًا عَرَبِيًّا ۚ وَلَئِنِ ٱتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَآءَهُم بَعْدَ مَا جَآءَكَ مِنَ ٱلْعِلْمِ مَا لَكَ مِنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَلِىٍّ وَلَا وَاقٍ
اسی طرح ہم نے اس قرآن کو عربی زبان کا فرمان اتارا ہے۔ اگر آپ نے ان کی خواہشوں کی پیروی کر لی اس کے بعد کہ آپ کے پاس علم آچکا ہے تو اللہ (کے عذابوں) سے آپ کو کوئی حمایتی ملے گا اور نہ بچانے واﻻ.
And thus We have revealed it as an Arabic legislation. And if you should follow their inclinations after what has come to you of knowledge, you would not have against Allāh any ally or any protector.
۞ أَوَلَمْ يَسِيرُوا۟ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَيَنظُرُوا۟ كَيْفَ كَانَ عَـٰقِبَةُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَانُوا۟ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ ۚ كَانُوا۟ هُمْ أَشَدَّ مِنْهُمْ قُوَّةً وَءَاثَارًا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ بِذُنُوبِهِمْ وَمَا كَانَ لَهُم مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ مِن وَاقٍ
کیا یہ لوگ زمین میں چلے پھرے نہیں کہ دیکھتے کہ جو لوگ ان سے پہلے تھے ان کا نتیجہ کیسا کچھ ہوا؟ وه باعتبار قوت و طاقت کے اور باعتبار زمین میں اپنی یادگاروں کے ان سے بہت زیاده تھے، پس اللہ نے انہیں ان کے گناہوں پر پکڑ لیا اور کوئی نہ ہوا جو انہیں اللہ کے عذاب سے بچا لیتا.
Have they not traveled through the land and observed how was the end of those who were before them? They were greater than them in strength and in impression on the land, but Allāh seized them for their sins. And they had not from Allāh any protector.
