قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَـٰثُ أَحْلَـٰمٍ ۖ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِتَأْوِيلِ ٱلْأَحْلَـٰمِ بِعَـٰلِمِينَ
انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ یہ تو اڑتے اڑاتے پریشان خواب ہیں اور ایسے شوریده پریشان خوابوں کی تعبیر جاننے والے ہم نہیں.
They said, "[It is but] a mixture of false dreams, and we are not learned in the interpretation of dreams."
بَلْ قَالُوٓا۟ أَضْغَـٰثُ أَحْلَـٰمٍۭ بَلِ ٱفْتَرَىٰهُ بَلْ هُوَ شَاعِرٌ فَلْيَأْتِنَا بِـَٔايَةٍ كَمَآ أُرْسِلَ ٱلْأَوَّلُونَ
اتنا ہی نہیں بلکہ یہ تو کہتے ہیں کہ یہ قرآن پراگنده خوابوں کا مجموعہ ہے بلکہ اس نے از خود اسے گھڑ لیا ہے بلکہ یہ شاعر ہے، ورنہ ہمارے سامنے یہ کوئی ایسی نشانی ﻻتے جیسے کہ اگلے پیغمبر بھیجے گئے تھے.
But they say, "[The revelation is but] a mixture of false dreams; rather, he has invented it; rather, he is a poet. So let him bring us a sign just as the previous [messengers] were sent [with miracles]."
