قَالَتْ يَـٰوَيْلَتَىٰٓ ءَأَلِدُ وَأَنَا۠ عَجُوزٌ وَهَـٰذَا بَعْلِى شَيْخًا ۖ إِنَّ هَـٰذَا لَشَىْءٌ عَجِيبٌ
وه کہنے لگی ہائے میری کم بختی! میرے ہاں اوﻻد کیسے ہو سکتی ہے میں خود بڑھیا اور یہ میرے خاوند بھی بہت بڑی عمر کے ہیں یہ تو یقیناً بڑی عجیب بات ہے!
She said, "Woe to me! Shall I give birth while I am an old woman and this, my husband, is an old man? Indeed, this is an amazing thing!"
فَأَقْبَلَتِ ٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ فِى صَرَّةٍ فَصَكَّتْ وَجْهَهَا وَقَالَتْ عَجُوزٌ عَقِيمٌ
پس ان کی بیوی آگے بڑھی اور حیرت میں آکر اپنے منھ پر ہاتھ مار کر کہا کہ میں تو بوڑھیا ہوں اور ساتھ ہی بانجھ.
And his wife approached with a cry [of alarm] and struck her face and said, "[I am] a barren old woman!"
