وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَنظُرُ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يُبْصِرُونَ
اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں کہ آپ کو تک رہے ہیں۔ پھر کیا آپ اندھوں کو راستہ دکھلانا چاہتے ہیں گو ان کو بصیرت بھی نہ ہو؟
And among them are those who look at you. But can you guide the blind although they will not [attempt to] see?
إِنَّكَ لَا تَهْدِى مَنْ أَحْبَبْتَ وَلَـٰكِنَّ ٱللَّهَ يَهْدِى مَن يَشَآءُ ۚ وَهُوَ أَعْلَمُ بِٱلْمُهْتَدِينَ
آپ جسے چاہیں ہدایت نہیں کر سکتے بلکہ اللہ تعالیٰ ہی جسے چاہے ہدایت کرتا ہے۔ ہدایت والوں سے وہی خوب آگاه ہے.
Indeed, [O Muḥammad], you do not guide whom you like, but Allāh guides whom He wills. And He is most knowing of the [rightly] guided.
أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ أَوْ تَهْدِى ٱلْعُمْىَ وَمَن كَانَ فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ مُّبِينٍ
کیا پس تو بہرے کو سنا سکتا ہے یا اندھے کو راه دکھا سکتا ہے اور اسے جو کھلی گمراہی میں ہو.
Then will you make the deaf hear, [O Muḥammad], or guide the blind or he who is in clear error?
