وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں جو آپ کی طرف کان لگائے بیٹھے ہیں۔ کیا آپ بہروں کو سناتے ہیں گو ان کو سمجھ بھی نہ ہو؟
And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear [i.e., benefit from this hearing], although they will not use reason?
إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
بیشک آپ نہ مُردوں کو سنا سکتے ہیں اور نہ بہروں کو اپنی پکار سنا سکتے ہیں، جبکہ وه پیٹھ پھیرے روگرداں جا رہے ہوں.
Indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they have turned their backs retreating.
وَمَآ أَنتَ بِهَـٰدِى ٱلْعُمْىِ عَن ضَلَـٰلَتِهِمْ ۖ إِن تُسْمِعُ إِلَّا مَن يُؤْمِنُ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا فَهُم مُّسْلِمُونَ
اور نہ آپ اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی سے ہٹا کر رہنمائی کر سکتے ہیں آپ تو صرف انہیں سنا سکتے ہیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان ﻻئے ہیں پھر وه فرمانبردار ہوجاتے ہیں.
And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [i.e., submitting to Allāh].
فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلْمَوْتَىٰ وَلَا تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا وَلَّوْا۟ مُدْبِرِينَ
بیشک آپ مردوں کو نہیں سنا سکتے اور نہ بہروں کو (اپنی) آواز سنا سکتے ہیں جب کہ وه پیٹھ پھیر کر مڑ گئے ہوں.
So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating.

اور نہ آپ اندھوں کو ان کی گمراہی سے ہدایت کرنے والے ہیں آپ تو صرف ان ہی لوگوں کو سناتے ہیں جو ہماری آیتوں پر ایمان رکھتے ہیں پس وہی اطاعت کرنے والے ہیں.
And you cannot guide the blind away from their error. You will only make hear those who believe in Our verses so they are Muslims [in submission to Allāh].
