وَمِنْهُم مَّن يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ ۚ أَفَأَنتَ تُسْمِعُ ٱلصُّمَّ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
اور ان میں بعض ایسے ہیں جو آپ کی طرف کان لگائے بیٹھے ہیں۔ کیا آپ بہروں کو سناتے ہیں گو ان کو سمجھ بھی نہ ہو؟
And among them are those who listen to you. But can you cause the deaf to hear [i.e., benefit from this hearing], although they will not use reason?
نَّحْنُ أَعْلَمُ بِمَا يَسْتَمِعُونَ بِهِۦٓ إِذْ يَسْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْكَ وَإِذْ هُمْ نَجْوَىٰٓ إِذْ يَقُولُ ٱلظَّـٰلِمُونَ إِن تَتَّبِعُونَ إِلَّا رَجُلًا مَّسْحُورًا
جس غرض سے وه لوگ اسے سنتے ہیں ان (کی نیتوں) سے ہم خوب آگاه ہیں، جب یہ آپ کی طرف کان لگائے ہوئے ہوتے ہیں تب بھی اور جب یہ مشوره کرتے ہیں تب بھی جب کہ یہ ﻇالم کہتے ہیں کہ تم اس کی تابعداری میں لگے ہوئے ہو جن پر جادو کردیا گیا ہے.
We are most knowing of how they listen to it when they listen to you and [of] when they are in private conversation, when the wrongdoers say, "You follow not but a man affected by magic."
ٱلَّذِينَ يَسْتَمِعُونَ ٱلْقَوْلَ فَيَتَّبِعُونَ أَحْسَنَهُۥٓ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ هَدَىٰهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۖ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمْ أُو۟لُوا۟ ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ
جو بات کو کان لگا کر سنتے ہیں۔ پھر جو بہترین بات ہو اس کی اتباع کرتے ہیں۔ یہی ہیں جنہیں اللہ تعالیٰ نے ہدایت کی ہے اور یہی عقلمند بھی ہیں.
Who listen to speech and follow the best of it. Those are the ones Allāh has guided, and those are people of understanding.
وَإِذْ صَرَفْنَآ إِلَيْكَ نَفَرًا مِّنَ ٱلْجِنِّ يَسْتَمِعُونَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ فَلَمَّا حَضَرُوهُ قَالُوٓا۟ أَنصِتُوا۟ ۖ فَلَمَّا قُضِىَ وَلَّوْا۟ إِلَىٰ قَوْمِهِم مُّنذِرِينَ
اور یاد کرو! جبکہ ہم نے جنوں کی ایک جماعت کو تیری طرف متوجہ کیا کہ وه قرآن سنیں، پس جب (نبی کے) پاس پہنچ گئے تو (ایک دوسرے سے) کہنے لگے خاموش ہو جاؤ، پھر جب پڑھ کر ختم ہوگیا تو اپنی قوم کو خبردار کرنے کے لئے واپس لوٹ گئے.
And [mention, O Muḥammad], when We directed to you a few of the jinn, listening to the Qur’ān. And when they attended it, they said, "Listen attentively." And when it was concluded, they went back to their people as warners.
أَمْ لَهُمْ سُلَّمٌ يَسْتَمِعُونَ فِيهِ ۖ فَلْيَأْتِ مُسْتَمِعُهُم بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ مُّبِينٍ
یا کیا ان کے پاس کوئی سیڑھی ہے جس پر چڑھ کر سنتے ہیں؟ (اگر ایسا ہے) تو ان کا سننے واﻻ کوئی روشن دلیل پیش کرے.
Or have they a stairway [into the heaven] upon which they listen? Then let their listener produce a clear authority [i.e., proof].
