أَوَلَا يَرَوْنَ أَنَّهُمْ يُفْتَنُونَ فِى كُلِّ عَامٍ مَّرَّةً أَوْ مَرَّتَيْنِ ثُمَّ لَا يَتُوبُونَ وَلَا هُمْ يَذَّكَّرُونَ
اور کیا ان کو نہیں دکھلائی دیتا کہ یہ لوگ ہر سال ایک بار یا دو بار کسی نہ کسی آفت میں پھنستے رہتے ہیں پھر بھی نہ توبہ کرتے اور نہ نصیحت قبول کرتے ہیں۔
Do they not see that they are tried every year once or twice but then they do not repent nor do they remember?
أَحَسِبَ ٱلنَّاسُ أَن يُتْرَكُوٓا۟ أَن يَقُولُوٓا۟ ءَامَنَّا وَهُمْ لَا يُفْتَنُونَ
کیا لوگوں نے یہ گمان کر رکھا ہے کہ ان کے صرف اس دعوے پر کہ ہم ایمان ﻻئے ہیں ہم انہیں بغیر آزمائے ہوئے ہی چھوڑ دیں گے؟.
Do the people think that they will be left to say, "We believe" and they will not be tried?
يَوْمَ هُمْ عَلَى ٱلنَّارِ يُفْتَنُونَ
ہاں یہ وه دن ہے کہ یہ آگ پر تپائے جائیں گے.
[It is] the Day they will be tormented over the Fire.
