لَّوْلَا كِتَـٰبٌ مِّنَ ٱللَّهِ سَبَقَ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِيمَآ أَخَذْتُمْ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
اگر پہلے ہی سے اللہ کی طرف سے بات لکھی ہوئی نہ ہوتی تو جو کچھ تم نے لیا ہے اس کے بارے میں تمہیں کوئی بڑی سزا ہوتی۔
If not for a decree from Allāh that preceded, you would have been touched for what you took by a great punishment.
وَلَوْلَا فَضْلُ ٱللَّهِ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَتُهُۥ فِى ٱلدُّنْيَا وَٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ لَمَسَّكُمْ فِى مَآ أَفَضْتُمْ فِيهِ عَذَابٌ عَظِيمٌ
اگر اللہ تعالیٰ کا فضل وکرم تم پر دنیا اور آخرت میں نہ ہوتا تو یقیناً تم نے جس بات کے چرچے شروع کر رکھے تھے اس بارے میں تمہیں بہت بڑا عذاب پہنچتا.
And if it had not been for the favor of Allāh upon you and His mercy in this world and the Hereafter, you would have been touched for that [lie] in which you were involved by a great punishment
