وَإِمَّا تَخَافَنَّ مِن قَوْمٍ خِيَانَةً فَٱنۢبِذْ إِلَيْهِمْ عَلَىٰ سَوَآءٍ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يُحِبُّ ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
اور اگر تجھے کسی قوم کی خیانت کا ڈر ہو تو برابری کی حالت میں ان کا عہدنامہ توڑ دے، اللہ تعالیٰ خیانت کرنے والوں کو پسند نہیں فرماتا۔
If you [have reason to] fear from a people betrayal, throw [their treaty] back to them, [putting you] on equal terms. Indeed, Allāh does not like traitors.
ذَٰلِكَ لِيَعْلَمَ أَنِّى لَمْ أَخُنْهُ بِٱلْغَيْبِ وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ لَا يَهْدِى كَيْدَ ٱلْخَآئِنِينَ
(یوسف علیہ السلام نے کہا) یہ اس واسطے کہ (عزیز) جان لے کہ میں نے اس کی پیٹھ پیچھے اس کی خیانت نہیں کی اور یہ بھی کہ اللہ دغابازوں کے ہتھکنڈے چلنے نہیں دیتا.
That is so he [i.e., al-ʿAzeez] will know that I did not betray him in [his] absence and that Allāh does not guide the plan of betrayers.
