وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۙ ٱلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةُ يَضْرِبُونَ وُجُوهَهُمْ وَأَدْبَـٰرَهُمْ وَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابَ ٱلْحَرِيقِ
کاش کہ تو دیکھتا جب کہ فرشتے کافروں کی روح قبض کرتے ہیں ان کے منھ پر اور سرینوں پر مار مارتے ہیں (اور کہتے ہیں) تم جلنے کا عذاب چکھو۔
And if you could but see when the angels take the souls of those who disbelieved... They are striking their faces and their backs and [saying], "Taste the punishment of the Burning Fire.
ٱللَّهُ يَتَوَفَّى ٱلْأَنفُسَ حِينَ مَوْتِهَا وَٱلَّتِى لَمْ تَمُتْ فِى مَنَامِهَا ۖ فَيُمْسِكُ ٱلَّتِى قَضَىٰ عَلَيْهَا ٱلْمَوْتَ وَيُرْسِلُ ٱلْأُخْرَىٰٓ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۚ إِنَّ فِى ذَٰلِكَ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَتَفَكَّرُونَ
اللہ ہی روحوں کو ان کی موت کے وقت اور جن کی موت نہیں آئی انہیں ان کی نیند کے وقت قبض کر لیتا ہے، پھر جن پر موت کا حکم لگ چکا ہے انہیں تو روک لیتا ہے اور دوسری (روحوں) کو ایک مقرر وقت تک کے لیے چھوڑ دیتا ہے۔ غور کرنے والوں کے لیے اس میں یقیناً بہت سی نشانیاں ہیں.
Allāh takes the souls at the time of their death, and those that do not die [He takes] during their sleep. Then He keeps those for which He has decreed death and releases the others for a specified term. Indeed in that are signs for a people who give thought.
