وَلَمَّا سَكَتَ عَن مُّوسَى ٱلْغَضَبُ أَخَذَ ٱلْأَلْوَاحَ ۖ وَفِى نُسْخَتِهَا هُدًى وَرَحْمَةٌ لِّلَّذِينَ هُمْ لِرَبِّهِمْ يَرْهَبُونَ
اور جب موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کا غصہ فرد ہوا تو ان تختیوں کو اٹھا لیا اور ان کے مضامین میں ان لوگوں کے لیے جو اپنے رب سے ڈرتے تھے ہدایت اور رحمت تھی۔
And when the anger subsided in Moses, he took up the tablets; and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who are fearful of their Lord.
وَلَقَدْ أَخَذْنَـٰهُم بِٱلْعَذَابِ فَمَا ٱسْتَكَانُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَمَا يَتَضَرَّعُونَ
اور ہم نے انہیں عذاب میں بھی پکڑا تاہم یہ لوگ نہ تو اپنے پروردگار کے سامنے جھکے اور نہ ہی عاجزی اختیار کی.
And We had gripped them with suffering [as a warning], but they did not yield to their Lord, nor did they humbly supplicate, [and will continue thus]
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَبِيتُونَ لِرَبِّهِمْ سُجَّدًا وَقِيَـٰمًا
اور جو اپنے رب کے سامنے سجدے اور قیام کرتے ہوئے راتیں گزار دیتے ہیں.
And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer]
وَٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْتَجَابُوا۟ لِرَبِّهِمْ وَأَقَامُوا۟ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ وَأَمْرُهُمْ شُورَىٰ بَيْنَهُمْ وَمِمَّا رَزَقْنَـٰهُمْ يُنفِقُونَ
اور اپنے رب کے فرمان کو قبول کرتے ہیں اور نماز کی پابندی کرتے ہیں اور ان کا (ہر) کام آپس کے مشورے سے ہوتا ہے، اور جو ہم نے انہیں دے رکھا ہے اس میں سے (ہمارے نام پر) دیتے ہیں.
And those who have responded to their Lord and established prayer and whose affair is [determined by] consultation among themselves, and from what We have provided them, they spend,
