وَلِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَأْخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
اور ہر گروه کے لئے ایک میعاد معین ہے سو جس وقت ان کی میعاد معین آجائے گی اس وقت ایک ساعت نہ پیچھے ہٹ سکیں گے اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکیں گے۔
And for every nation is a [specified] term. So when their time has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it].
قُل لَّآ أَمْلِكُ لِنَفْسِى ضَرًّا وَلَا نَفْعًا إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُ ۗ لِكُلِّ أُمَّةٍ أَجَلٌ ۚ إِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ فَلَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
آپ فرما دیجئے کہ میں اپنی ذات کے لیے تو کسی نفع کا اور کسی ضرر کا اختیار رکھتا ہی نہیں مگر جتنا اللہ کو منظور ہو۔ ہر امت کے لیے ایک معین وقت ہے جب ان کا وه معین وقت آپہنچتا ہے تو ایک گھڑی نہ پیچھے ہٹ سکتے ہیں اور نہ آگے سرک سکتے ہیں.
Say, "I possess not for myself any harm or benefit except what Allāh should will. For every nation is a [specified] term. When their time has come, then they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it]."
وَلَوْ يُؤَاخِذُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلنَّاسَ بِظُلْمِهِم مَّا تَرَكَ عَلَيْهَا مِن دَآبَّةٍ وَلَـٰكِن يُؤَخِّرُهُمْ إِلَىٰٓ أَجَلٍ مُّسَمًّى ۖ فَإِذَا جَآءَ أَجَلُهُمْ لَا يَسْتَـْٔخِرُونَ سَاعَةً ۖ وَلَا يَسْتَقْدِمُونَ
اگر لوگوں کے گناه پر اللہ تعالیٰ ان کی گرفت کرتا تو روئے زمین پر ایک بھی جاندار باقی نہ رہتا، لیکن وه تو انہیں ایک وقت مقرر تک ڈھیل دیتا ہے، جب ان کا وه وقت آجاتا ہے تو وه ایک ساعت نہ پیچھے ره سکتے ہیں اور نہ آگے بڑھ سکتے ہیں.
And if Allāh were to impose blame on the people for their wrongdoing, He would not have left upon it [i.e., the earth] any creature, but He defers them for a specified term. And when their term has come, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they precede [it].
