قَالَا رَبَّنَا ظَلَمْنَآ أَنفُسَنَا وَإِن لَّمْ تَغْفِرْ لَنَا وَتَرْحَمْنَا لَنَكُونَنَّ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
دونوں نے کہا اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے اپنا بڑا نقصان کیا اور اگر تو ہماری مغفرت نہ کرے گا اور ہم پر رحم نہ کرے گا تو واقعی ہم نقصان پانے والوں میں سے ہوجائیں گے۔
They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."
قَالَا رَبَّنَآ إِنَّنَا نَخَافُ أَن يَفْرُطَ عَلَيْنَآ أَوْ أَن يَطْغَىٰ
دونوں نے کہا اے ہمارے رب! ہمیں خوف ہے کہ کہیں فرعون ہم پر کوئی زیادتی نہ کرے یا اپنی سرکشی میں بڑھ نہ جائے.
They said, "Our Lord, indeed we are afraid that he will hasten [punishment] against us or that he will transgress."
