وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْلَآ أُنزِلَ عَلَيْهِ مَلَكٌ ۖ وَلَوْ أَنزَلْنَا مَلَكًا لَّقُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ ثُمَّ لَا يُنظَرُونَ
اور یہ لوگ یوں کہتے ہیں کہ ان کے پاس کوئی فرشتہ کیوں نہیں اتارا گیا اور اگر ہم کوئی فرشتہ بھیج دیتے تو سارا قصہ ہی ختم ہوجاتا۔ پھر ان کو ذرا مہلت نہ دی جاتی۔
And they say, "Why was there not sent down to him an angel?" But if We had sent down an angel, the matter would have been decided; then they would not be reprieved.
وَلَوْ جَعَلْنَـٰهُ مَلَكًا لَّجَعَلْنَـٰهُ رَجُلًا وَلَلَبَسْنَا عَلَيْهِم مَّا يَلْبِسُونَ
اور اگر ہم اس کو فرشتہ تجویز کرتے تو ہم اس کو آدمی ہی بناتے اور ہمارے اس فعل سے پھر ان پر وہی اشکال ہوتا جو اب اشکال کر رہے ہیں۔
And if We had made him [i.e., the messenger] an angel, We would have made him [appear as] a man, and We would have covered them with that in which they cover themselves [i.e., confusion and doubt].
قُل لَّوْ كَانَ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مَلَـٰٓئِكَةٌ يَمْشُونَ مُطْمَئِنِّينَ لَنَزَّلْنَا عَلَيْهِم مِّنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مَلَكًا رَّسُولًا
آپ کہہ دیں کہ اگر زمین میں فرشتے چلتے پھرتے اور رہتے بستے ہوتے تو ہم بھی ان کے پاس کسی آسمانی فرشتے ہی کو رسول بنا کر بھیجتے.
Say, "If there were upon the earth angels walking securely, We would have sent down to them from the heaven an angel [as a] messenger."
