فَطَوَّعَتْ لَهُۥ نَفْسُهُۥ قَتْلَ أَخِيهِ فَقَتَلَهُۥ فَأَصْبَحَ مِنَ ٱلْخَـٰسِرِينَ
پس اسے اس کے نفس نے اپنے بھائی کے قتل پر آماده کر دیا اور اس نے اسے قتل کر ڈاﻻ، جس سے نقصان پانے والوں میں سے ہوگیا۔
And his soul permitted to him the murder of his brother, so he killed him and became among the losers.
فَٱنطَلَقَا حَتَّىٰٓ إِذَا لَقِيَا غُلَـٰمًا فَقَتَلَهُۥ قَالَ أَقَتَلْتَ نَفْسًا زَكِيَّةًۢ بِغَيْرِ نَفْسٍ لَّقَدْ جِئْتَ شَيْـًٔا نُّكْرًا
پھر دونوں چلے، یہاں تک کہ ایک لڑکے کو پایا، اس نے اسے مار ڈاﻻ، موسیٰ نے کہا کہ کیا آپ نے ایک پاک جان کو بغیر کسی جان کے عوض مار ڈاﻻ؟ بےشک آپ نے تو بڑی ناپسندیده حرکت کی.
So they set out, until when they met a boy, he [i.e., al-Khiḍr] killed him. [Moses] said, "Have you killed a pure soul for other than [having killed] a soul? You have certainly done a deplorable thing."
