۞ أَتَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
کیا لوگوں کو بھلائیوں کا حکم کرتے ہو؟ اور خود اپنے آپ کو بھول جاتے ہو باوجودیکہ تم کتاب پڑھتے ہو، کیا اتنی بھی تم میں سمجھ نہیں؟
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?
بَلْ إِيَّاهُ تَدْعُونَ فَيَكْشِفُ مَا تَدْعُونَ إِلَيْهِ إِن شَآءَ وَتَنسَوْنَ مَا تُشْرِكُونَ
بلکہ خاص اسی کو پکارو گے، پھر جس کے لئے تم پکارو گے اگر وه چاہے تو اس کو ہٹا بھی دے اور جن کو تم شریک ٹھہراتے ہو ان سب کو بھول بھال جاؤ گے۔
No, it is Him [alone] you would invoke, and He would remove that for which you invoked Him if He willed, and you would forget what you associate [with Him].
