۞ أَتَأْمُرُونَ ٱلنَّاسَ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَتَنسَوْنَ أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ تَتْلُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ ۚ أَفَلَا تَعْقِلُونَ
کیا لوگوں کو بھلائیوں کا حکم کرتے ہو؟ اور خود اپنے آپ کو بھول جاتے ہو باوجودیکہ تم کتاب پڑھتے ہو، کیا اتنی بھی تم میں سمجھ نہیں؟
Do you order righteousness of the people and forget yourselves while you recite the Scripture? Then will you not reason?
يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ إِذَا تَنَـٰجَيْتُمْ فَلَا تَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟ بِٱلْإِثْمِ وَٱلْعُدْوَٰنِ وَمَعْصِيَتِ ٱلرَّسُولِ وَتَنَـٰجَوْا۟ بِٱلْبِرِّ وَٱلتَّقْوَىٰ ۖ وَٱتَّقُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ ٱلَّذِىٓ إِلَيْهِ تُحْشَرُونَ
اے ایمان والو! تم جب سرگوشی کرو تو یہ سرگوشیاں گناه اور ﻇلم (زیادتی) اور نافرمانیٴ پیغمبر کی نہ ہوں، بلکہ نیکی اور پرہیزگاری کی باتوں پر سرگوشی کرو اور اس اللہ سے ڈرتے رہو جس کے پاس تم سب جمع کیے جاؤ گے.
O you who have believed, when you converse privately, do not converse about sin and aggression and disobedience to the Messenger but converse about righteousness and piety. And fear Allāh, to whom you will be gathered.
