وَقُلْنَا يَـٰٓـَٔادَمُ ٱسْكُنْ أَنتَ وَزَوْجُكَ ٱلْجَنَّةَ وَكُلَا مِنْهَا رَغَدًا حَيْثُ شِئْتُمَا وَلَا تَقْرَبَا هَـٰذِهِ ٱلشَّجَرَةَ فَتَكُونَا مِنَ ٱلظَّـٰلِمِينَ

اور ہم نے کہہ دیا کہ اے آدم! تم اور تمہاری بیوی جنت میں رہو اور جہاں کہیں سے چاہو بافراغت کھاؤ پیو، لیکن اس درخت کے قریب بھی نہ جانا ورنہ ﻇالم ہوجاؤ گے

And We said, "O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat therefrom in [ease and] abundance from wherever you will. But do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers."

فَأَزَلَّهُمَا ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ عَنْهَا فَأَخْرَجَهُمَا مِمَّا كَانَا فِيهِ ۖ وَقُلْنَا ٱهْبِطُوا۟ بَعْضُكُمْ لِبَعْضٍ عَدُوٌّ ۖ وَلَكُمْ فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ مُسْتَقَرٌّ وَمَتَـٰعٌ إِلَىٰ حِينٍ

لیکن شیطان نے ان کو بہکا کر وہاں سے نکلوا ہی دیا اور ہم نے کہہ دیا کہ اتر جاؤ! تم ایک دوسرے کے دشمن ہو اور ایک وقت مقرر تک تمہارے لئے زمین میں ٹھہرنا اور فائده اٹھانا ہے

But Satan caused them to slip out of it and removed them from that [condition] in which they had been. And We said, "Go down, [all of you], as enemies to one another, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."

وَرَفَعْنَا فَوْقَهُمُ ٱلطُّورَ بِمِيثَـٰقِهِمْ وَقُلْنَا لَهُمُ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ ٱلْبَابَ سُجَّدًا وَقُلْنَا لَهُمْ لَا تَعْدُوا۟ فِى ٱلسَّبْتِ وَأَخَذْنَا مِنْهُم مِّيثَـٰقًا غَلِيظًا

اور ان کا قول لینے کے لئے ہم نے ان کے سروں پر طور پہاڑ ﻻ کھڑا کردیا اور انہیں حکم دیا کہ سجده کرتے ہوئے دروازے میں جاؤ اور یہ بھی فرمایا کہ ہفتہ کے دن میں تجاوز نہ کرنا اور ہم نے ان سے سخت سے سخت قول وقرار لئے۔

And We raised over them the mount for [refusal of] their covenant; and We said to them, "Enter the gate bowing humbly"; and We said to them, "Do not transgress on the sabbath"; and We took from them a solemn covenant.

وَقُلْنَا مِنۢ بَعْدِهِۦ لِبَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱسْكُنُوا۟ ٱلْأَرْضَ فَإِذَا جَآءَ وَعْدُ ٱلْـَٔاخِرَةِ جِئْنَا بِكُمْ لَفِيفًا

اس کے بعد ہم نے بنی اسرائیل سے فرما دیا کہ اس سرزمین پر تم رہو سہو۔ ہاں جب آخرت کا وعده آئے گا ہم تم سب کو سمیٹ اور لپیٹ کر لے آئیں گے.

And We said after him [i.e., Pharaoh] to the Children of Israel, "Dwell in the land, and when there comes the promise [i.e., appointment] of the Hereafter, We will bring you forth in [one] gathering."

قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ قَدْ جَآءَنَا نَذِيرٌ فَكَذَّبْنَا وَقُلْنَا مَا نَزَّلَ ٱللَّهُ مِن شَىْءٍ إِنْ أَنتُمْ إِلَّا فِى ضَلَـٰلٍ كَبِيرٍ

وه جواب دیں گے کہ بیشک آیا تھا لیکن ہم نے اسے جھٹلایا اور ہم نے کہا کہ اللہ تعالیٰ نےکچھ بھی نازل نہیں فرمایا۔ تم بہت بڑی گمراہی میں ہی ہو.

They will say, "Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allāh has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'"
