وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰ وَٱسْتَكْبَرَ وَكَانَ مِنَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجده کرو تو ابلیس کے سوا سب نے سجده کیا۔ اس نے انکار کیا اور تکبر کیا اور وه کافروں میں ہوگیا۔
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate before Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He refused and was arrogant and became of the disbelievers.
وَلَقَدْ خَلَقْنَـٰكُمْ ثُمَّ صَوَّرْنَـٰكُمْ ثُمَّ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ لَمْ يَكُن مِّنَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
اور ہم نے تم کو پیدا کیا، پھر ہم ہی نے تمہاری صورت بنائی پھر ہم نے فرشتوں سے کہا کہ آدم کو سجده کرو سو سب نے سجده کیا بجز ابلیس کے، وه سجده کرنے والوں میں شامل نہ ہوا۔
And We have certainly created you, [O mankind], and given you [human] form. Then We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam"; so they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was not of those who prostrated.
إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ أَبَىٰٓ أَن يَكُونَ مَعَ ٱلسَّـٰجِدِينَ
مگر ابلیس کے۔ کہ اس نے سجده کرنے والوں میں شمولیت کرنے سے (صاف) انکار کر دیا.
Except Iblees; he refused to be with those who prostrated.
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ قَالَ ءَأَسْجُدُ لِمَنْ خَلَقْتَ طِينًا
جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ آدم کو سجده کرو تو ابلیس کے سوا سب نے کیا، اس نے کہا کہ کیا میں اسے سجده کروں جسے تو نے مٹی سے پیدا کیا ہے.
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He said, "Should I prostrate to one You created from clay?"
وَإِذْ قُلْنَا لِلْمَلَـٰٓئِكَةِ ٱسْجُدُوا۟ لِـَٔادَمَ فَسَجَدُوٓا۟ إِلَّآ إِبْلِيسَ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْجِنِّ فَفَسَقَ عَنْ أَمْرِ رَبِّهِۦٓ ۗ أَفَتَتَّخِذُونَهُۥ وَذُرِّيَّتَهُۥٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ مِن دُونِى وَهُمْ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّۢ ۚ بِئْسَ لِلظَّـٰلِمِينَ بَدَلًا
اور جب ہم نے فرشتوں کو حکم دیا کہ تم آدم کو سجده کرو تو ابلیس کے سوا سب نے سجده کیا، یہ جنوں میں سے تھا، اس نے اپنے پروردگار کی نافرمانی کی، کیا پھر بھی تم اسے اور اس کی اوﻻد کو مجھے چھوڑ کر اپنا دوست بنا رہے ہو؟ حاﻻنکہ وه تم سب کا دشمن ہے۔ ایسے ﻇالموں کا کیا ہی برا بدل ہے.
And [mention] when We said to the angels, "Prostrate to Adam," and they prostrated, except for Iblees. He was of the jinn and departed from [i.e., disobeyed] the command of his Lord. Then will you take him and his descendants as allies other than Me while they are enemies to you? Wretched it is for the wrongdoers as an exchange.
