مَا كَانَ لِبَشَرٍ أَن يُؤْتِيَهُ ٱللَّهُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ثُمَّ يَقُولَ لِلنَّاسِ كُونُوا۟ عِبَادًا لِّى مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَلَـٰكِن كُونُوا۟ رَبَّـٰنِيِّـۧنَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تُعَلِّمُونَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَبِمَا كُنتُمْ تَدْرُسُونَ

کسی ایسے انسان کو جسے اللہ تعالیٰ کتاب وحکمت اور نبوت دے، یہ ﻻئق نہیں کہ پھر بھی وه لوگوں سے کہے کہ تم اللہ تعالیٰ کو چھوڑ کر میرے بندے بن جاؤ، بلکہ وه تو کہے گا کہ تم سب رب کے ہو جاؤ، تمہارے کتاب سکھانے کے باعﺚ اور تمہارے کتاب پڑھنے کے سبب۔

It is not for a human [prophet] that Allāh should give him the Scripture and authority and prophethood and then he would say to the people, "Be servants to me rather than Allāh," but [instead, he would say], "Be pious scholars of the Lord because of what you have taught of the Scripture and because of what you have studied."

أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمُ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ ۚ فَإِن يَكْفُرْ بِهَا هَـٰٓؤُلَآءِ فَقَدْ وَكَّلْنَا بِهَا قَوْمًا لَّيْسُوا۟ بِهَا بِكَـٰفِرِينَ

یہ لوگ ایسے تھے کہ ہم نے ان کو کتاب اور حکمت اور نبوت عطا کی تھی سو اگر یہ لوگ نبوت کا انکار کریں تو ہم نے اس کے لئے ایسے بہت سے لوگ مقرر کردیئے ہیں جو اس کے منکر نہیں ہیں۔

Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture and authority and prophethood. But if they [i.e., the disbelievers] deny it, then We have entrusted it to a people who are not therein disbelievers.

وَلَقَدْ ءَاتَيْنَا بَنِىٓ إِسْرَٰٓءِيلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبَ وَٱلْحُكْمَ وَٱلنُّبُوَّةَ وَرَزَقْنَـٰهُم مِّنَ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَفَضَّلْنَـٰهُمْ عَلَى ٱلْعَـٰلَمِينَ

یقیناً ہم نے بنی اسرائیل کو کتاب، حکومت اور نبوت دی تھی، اور ہم نے انہیں پاکیزه (اور نفیس) روزیاں دی تھیں اور انہیں دنیا والوں پر فضیلت دی تھی.

And We did certainly give the Children of Israel the Scripture and judgement and prophethood, and We provided them with good things and preferred them over the worlds.
