هُنَالِكَ دَعَا زَكَرِيَّا رَبَّهُۥ ۖ قَالَ رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ ٱلدُّعَآءِ
اسی جگہ زکریا (علیہ السلام) نے اپنے رب سے دعا کی، کہا کہ اے میرے پروردگار! مجھے اپنے پاس سے پاکیزه اوﻻد عطا فرما، بے شک تو دعا کا سننے واﻻ ہے۔
At that, Zechariah called upon his Lord, saying, "My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication."
وَٱلَّذِينَ يَقُولُونَ رَبَّنَا هَبْ لَنَا مِنْ أَزْوَٰجِنَا وَذُرِّيَّـٰتِنَا قُرَّةَ أَعْيُنٍ وَٱجْعَلْنَا لِلْمُتَّقِينَ إِمَامًا
اور یہ دعا کرتے ہیں کہ اے ہمارے پروردگار! تو ہمیں ہماری بیویوں اور اوﻻد سے آنکھوں کی ٹھنڈک عطا فرما اور ہمیں پرہیزگاروں کا پیشوا بنا.
And those who say, "Our Lord, grant us from among our wives and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us a leader [i.e., example] for the righteous."
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى حُكْمًا وَأَلْحِقْنِى بِٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
اے میرے رب! مجھے قوت فیصلہ عطا فرما اور مجھے نیک لوگوں میں ملا دے.
[And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous.
رَبِّ هَبْ لِى مِنَ ٱلصَّـٰلِحِينَ
اے میرے رب! مجھے نیک بخت اوﻻد عطا فرما.
My Lord, grant me [a child] from among the righteous."
