ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنُ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱلْفَقْرَ وَيَأْمُرُكُم بِٱلْفَحْشَآءِ ۖ وَٱللَّهُ يَعِدُكُم مَّغْفِرَةً مِّنْهُ وَفَضْلًا ۗ وَٱللَّهُ وَٰسِعٌ عَلِيمٌ
شیطان تمہیں فقیری سے دھمکاتا ہے اور بےحیائی کا حکم دیتا ہے، اور اللہ تعالیٰ تم سے اپنی بخشش اور فضل کا وعده کرتا ہے، اللہ تعالیٰ وسعت واﻻ اور علم واﻻ ہے۔
Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allāh promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allāh is all-Encompassing and Knowing.
وَإِذْ يَعِدُكُمُ ٱللَّهُ إِحْدَى ٱلطَّآئِفَتَيْنِ أَنَّهَا لَكُمْ وَتَوَدُّونَ أَنَّ غَيْرَ ذَاتِ ٱلشَّوْكَةِ تَكُونُ لَكُمْ وَيُرِيدُ ٱللَّهُ أَن يُحِقَّ ٱلْحَقَّ بِكَلِمَـٰتِهِۦ وَيَقْطَعَ دَابِرَ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
اور تم لوگ اس وقت کو یاد کرو! جب کہ اللہ تم سے ان دو جماعتوں میں سے ایک کا وعده کرتا تھا کہ وه تمہارے ہاتھ آجائے گی اور تم اس تمنا میں تھے کہ غیر مسلح جماعت تمہارے ہاتھ آجائے اور اللہ تعالیٰ کو یہ منظور تھا کہ اپنے احکام سے حق کا حق ہونا ﺛابت کردے اور ان کافروں کی جڑ کاٹ دے۔
[Remember, O believers], when Allāh promised you one of the two groups - that it would be yours - and you wished that the unarmed one would be yours. But Allāh intended to establish the truth by His words and to eliminate the disbelievers
