وَلَمَّا بَرَزُوا۟ لِجَالُوتَ وَجُنُودِهِۦ قَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَثَبِّتْ أَقْدَامَنَا وَٱنصُرْنَا عَلَى ٱلْقَوْمِ ٱلْكَـٰفِرِينَ
جب ان کا جالوت اور اس کے لشکر سے مقابلہ ہوا تو انہوں نے دعا مانگی کہ اے پروردگار ہمیں صبر دے، ﺛابت قدمی دے اور قوم کفار پر ہماری مدد فرما۔
And when they went forth to [face] Goliath and his soldiers, they said, "Our Lord, pour upon us patience and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people."
وَمَا تَنقِمُ مِنَّآ إِلَّآ أَنْ ءَامَنَّا بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّنَا لَمَّا جَآءَتْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَآ أَفْرِغْ عَلَيْنَا صَبْرًا وَتَوَفَّنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
اور تو نے ہم میں کونسا عیب دیکھا ہے بجز اس کے کہ ہم اپنے رب کے احکام پر ایمان لے آئے، جب وه ہمارے پاس آئے۔ اے ہمارے رب! ہمارے اوپر صبر کا فیضان فرما اور ہماری جان حالت اسلام پر نکال۔
And you do not resent us except because we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us. Our Lord, pour upon us patience and let us die as Muslims [in submission to You]."
