يَـٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ ٱدْخُلُوا۟ فِى ٱلسِّلْمِ كَآفَّةً وَلَا تَتَّبِعُوا۟ خُطُوَٰتِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ لَكُمْ عَدُوٌّ مُّبِينٌ
ایمان والو! اسلام میں پورے پورے داخل ہوجاؤ اور شیطان کے قدموں کی تابعداری نہ کرو وه تمہارا کھلا دشمن ہے۔
O you who have believed, enter into Islām completely [and perfectly] and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
إِنَّ عِدَّةَ ٱلشُّهُورِ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ٱثْنَا عَشَرَ شَهْرًا فِى كِتَـٰبِ ٱللَّهِ يَوْمَ خَلَقَ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضَ مِنْهَآ أَرْبَعَةٌ حُرُمٌ ۚ ذَٰلِكَ ٱلدِّينُ ٱلْقَيِّمُ ۚ فَلَا تَظْلِمُوا۟ فِيهِنَّ أَنفُسَكُمْ ۚ وَقَـٰتِلُوا۟ ٱلْمُشْرِكِينَ كَآفَّةً كَمَا يُقَـٰتِلُونَكُمْ كَآفَّةً ۚ وَٱعْلَمُوٓا۟ أَنَّ ٱللَّهَ مَعَ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ
مہینوں کی گنتی اللہ کے نزدیک کتاب اللہ میں باره کی ہے، اسی دن سے جب سے آسمان وزمین کو اس نے پیدا کیا ہے اس میں سے چار حرمت وادب کے ہیں۔ یہی درست دین ہے، تم ان مہینوں میں اپنی جانوں پر ﻇلم نہ کرو اور تم تمام مشرکوں سے جہاد کرو جیسے کہ وه تم سب سے لڑتے ہیں اور جان رکھو کہ اللہ تعالی متقیوں کے ساتھ ہے۔
Indeed, the number of months with Allāh is twelve [lunar] months in the register of Allāh [from] the day He created the heavens and the earth; of these, four are sacred. That is the correct religion [i.e., way], so do not wrong yourselves during them. And fight against the disbelievers collectively as they fight against you collectively. And know that Allāh is with the righteous [who fear Him].
۞ وَمَا كَانَ ٱلْمُؤْمِنُونَ لِيَنفِرُوا۟ كَآفَّةً ۚ فَلَوْلَا نَفَرَ مِن كُلِّ فِرْقَةٍ مِّنْهُمْ طَآئِفَةٌ لِّيَتَفَقَّهُوا۟ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَلِيُنذِرُوا۟ قَوْمَهُمْ إِذَا رَجَعُوٓا۟ إِلَيْهِمْ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَحْذَرُونَ
اور مسلمانوں کو یہ نہ چاہئے کہ سب کے سب نکل کھڑے ہوں سو ایسا کیوں نہ کیا جائے کہ ان کی ہر بڑی جماعت میں سے ایک چھوٹی جماعت جایا کرے تاکہ وه دین کی سمجھ بوجھ حاصل کریں اور تاکہ یہ لوگ اپنی قوم کو جب کہ وه ان کے پاس آئیں، ڈرائیں تاکہ وه ڈر جائیں۔
And it is not for the believers to go forth [to battle] all at once. For there should separate from every division of them a group [remaining] to obtain understanding in the religion and warn [i.e., advise] their people when they return to them that they might be cautious.
وَمَآ أَرْسَلْنَـٰكَ إِلَّا كَآفَّةً لِّلنَّاسِ بَشِيرًا وَنَذِيرًا وَلَـٰكِنَّ أَكْثَرَ ٱلنَّاسِ لَا يَعْلَمُونَ
ہم نے آپ کو تمام لوگوں کے لئے خوشخبریاں سنانے واﻻ اور ڈرانے واﻻ بنا کر بھیجا ہے ہاں مگر (یہ صحیح ہے) کہ لوگوں کی اکثریت بےعلم ہے.
And We have not sent you except comprehensively to mankind as a bringer of good tidings and a warner. But most of the people do not know.
