وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يُعْجِبُكَ قَوْلُهُۥ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَيُشْهِدُ ٱللَّهَ عَلَىٰ مَا فِى قَلْبِهِۦ وَهُوَ أَلَدُّ ٱلْخِصَامِ
بعض لوگوں کی دنیاوی غرض کی باتیں آپ کو خوش کر دیتی ہیں اور وه اپنے دل کی باتوں پر اللہ کو گواه کرتا ہے، حاﻻنکہ دراصل وه زبردست جھگڑالو ہے۔
And of the people is he whose speech pleases you in worldly life, and he calls Allāh to witness as to what is in his heart, yet he is the fiercest of opponents.
يَـٰنِسَآءَ ٱلنَّبِىِّ لَسْتُنَّ كَأَحَدٍ مِّنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ ۚ إِنِ ٱتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِٱلْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ ٱلَّذِى فِى قَلْبِهِۦ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
اے نبی کی بیویو! تم عام عورتوں کی طرح نہیں ہو، اگر تم پرہیزگاری اختیار کرو تو نرم لہجے سے بات نہ کرو کہ جس کے دل میں روگ ہو وه کوئی برا خیال کرے اور ہاں قاعدے کے مطابق کلام کرو.
O wives of the Prophet, you are not like anyone among women. If you fear Allāh, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should covet, but speak with appropriate speech.
