أَمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّا لَا نَسْمَعُ سِرَّهُمْ وَنَجْوَىٰهُم ۚ بَلَىٰ وَرُسُلُنَا لَدَيْهِمْ يَكْتُبُونَ
کیا ان کا یہ خیال ہے کہ ہم ان کی پوشیده باتوں کو اور ان کی سرگوشیوں کو نہیں سنتے، (یقیناً ہم برابر سن رہے ہیں) بلکہ ہمارے بھیجے ہوئے ان کے پاس ہی لکھ رہے ہیں.
Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private conversations? Yes, [We do], and Our messengers [i.e., angels] are with them recording.
وَقَالُوا۟ لَوْ كُنَّا نَسْمَعُ أَوْ نَعْقِلُ مَا كُنَّا فِىٓ أَصْحَـٰبِ ٱلسَّعِيرِ
اور کہیں گے اگر ہم سنتے ہوتے یا عقل رکھتے ہوتے تو دوزخیوں میں (شریک) نہ ہوتے.
And they will say, "If only we had been listening or reasoning, we would not be among the companions of the Blaze."
