وَمَثَلُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ كَمَثَلِ ٱلَّذِى يَنْعِقُ بِمَا لَا يَسْمَعُ إِلَّا دُعَآءً وَنِدَآءً ۚ صُمٌّۢ بُكْمٌ عُمْىٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَعْقِلُونَ
کفار کی مثال ان جانوروں کی طرح ہے جو اپنے چرواہے کی صرف پکار اور آواز ہی کو سنتے ہیں (سمجھتے نہیں) وه بہرے، گونگے اور ا ندھے ہیں، انہیں عقل نہیں۔
The example of those who disbelieve is like that of one who shouts at what hears nothing but calls and cries [i.e., cattle or sheep] - deaf, dumb and blind, so they do not understand.
إِذْ قَالَ لِأَبِيهِ يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لِمَ تَعْبُدُ مَا لَا يَسْمَعُ وَلَا يُبْصِرُ وَلَا يُغْنِى عَنكَ شَيْـًٔا
جبکہ انہوں نے اپنے باپ سے کہا کہ ابّا جان! آپ ان کی پوجا پاٹ کیوں کر رہے ہیں جو نہ سنیں نہ دیکھیں؟ نہ آپ کو کچھ بھی فائده پہنچا سکیں.
[Mention] when he said to his father, "O my father, why do you worship that which does not hear and does not see and will not benefit you at all?
قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أُنذِرُكُم بِٱلْوَحْىِ ۚ وَلَا يَسْمَعُ ٱلصُّمُّ ٱلدُّعَآءَ إِذَا مَا يُنذَرُونَ
کہہ دیجئے! میں تو تمہیں اللہ کی وحی کے ذریعہ آگاه کر رہا ہوں مگر بہرے لوگ بات نہیں سنتے جبکہ انہیں آگاه کیا جائے.
Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.
يَسْمَعُ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ تُتْلَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ يُصِرُّ مُسْتَكْبِرًا كَأَن لَّمْ يَسْمَعْهَا ۖ فَبَشِّرْهُ بِعَذَابٍ أَلِيمٍ
جو آیتیں اللہ کی اپنے سامنے پڑھی جاتی ہوئی سنے پھر بھی غرور کرتا ہوا اس طرح اڑا رہے کہ گویا سنی ہی نہیں، تو ایسے لوگوں کو دردناک عذاب کی خبر (پہنچا) دیجئے.
Who hears the verses of Allāh recited to him, then persists arrogantly as if he had not heard them. So give him tidings of a painful punishment.
قَدْ سَمِعَ ٱللَّهُ قَوْلَ ٱلَّتِى تُجَـٰدِلُكَ فِى زَوْجِهَا وَتَشْتَكِىٓ إِلَى ٱللَّهِ وَٱللَّهُ يَسْمَعُ تَحَاوُرَكُمَآ ۚ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ سَمِيعٌۢ بَصِيرٌ
یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ نے اس عورت کی بات سنی جو تجھ سے اپنے شوہر کے بارے میں تکرار کر رہی تھی اور اللہ کے آگے شکایت کر رہی تھی، اللہ تعالیٰ تم دونوں کے سوال وجواب سن رہا تھا، بیشک اللہ تعالیٰ سننے دیکھنے واﻻ ہے.
Certainly has Allāh heard the speech of the one who argues [i.e., pleads] with you, [O Muḥammad], concerning her husband and directs her complaint to Allāh. And Allāh hears your dialogue; indeed, Allāh is Hearing and Seeing.
