ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُمْ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَكَفَرُوا۟ فَأَخَذَهُمُ ٱللَّهُ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ قَوِىٌّ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعِقَابِ
یہ اس وجہ سے کہ ان کے پاس ان کے پیغمبر معجزے لے لے کرآتے تھے تو وه انکار کر دیتے تھے، پس اللہ انہیں پکڑ لیتا تھا۔ یقیناً وه طاقتور اور سخت عذاب واﻻ ہے.
That was because their messengers were coming to them with clear proofs, but they disbelieved, so Allāh seized them. Indeed, He is Powerful and severe in punishment.
ذَٰلِكَ بِأَنَّهُۥ كَانَت تَّأْتِيهِمْ رُسُلُهُم بِٱلْبَيِّنَـٰتِ فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرٌ يَهْدُونَنَا فَكَفَرُوا۟ وَتَوَلَّوا۟ ۚ وَّٱسْتَغْنَى ٱللَّهُ ۚ وَٱللَّهُ غَنِىٌّ حَمِيدٌ
یہ اس لیے کہ ان کے پاس ان کے رسول واضح دﻻئل لے کر آئے تو انہوں نے کہہ دیا کہ کیا انسان ہماری رہنمائی کرے گا؟ پس انکار کر دیا اور منھ پھیر لیا اور اللہ نے بھی بےنیازی کی، اور اللہ تو ہے ہی بہت بےنیاز سب خوبیوں واﻻ.
That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us?" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allāh dispensed [with them]; and Allāh is Free of need and Praiseworthy.
