وَمِنَ ٱلنَّاسِ مَن يَتَّخِذُ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ أَندَادًا يُحِبُّونَهُمْ كَحُبِّ ٱللَّهِ ۖ وَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوٓا۟ أَشَدُّ حُبًّا لِّلَّهِ ۗ وَلَوْ يَرَى ٱلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ إِذْ يَرَوْنَ ٱلْعَذَابَ أَنَّ ٱلْقُوَّةَ لِلَّهِ جَمِيعًا وَأَنَّ ٱللَّهَ شَدِيدُ ٱلْعَذَابِ

بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو اللہ کے شریک اوروں کو ٹھہرا کر ان سے ایسی محبت رکھتے ہیں، جیسی محبت اللہ سے ہونی چاہیئے اور ایمان والے اللہ کی محبت میں بہت سخت ہوتے ہیں کاش کہ مشرک لوگ جانتے جب کہ اللہ کے عذاب کو دیکھ کر (جان لیں گے) کہ تمام طاقت اللہ ہی کو ہے اور اللہ تعالیٰ سخت عذاب دینے واﻻ ہے (تو ہرگز شرک نہ کرتے)۔

And [yet], among the people are those who take other than Allāh as equals [to Him]. They love them as they [should] love Allāh. But those who believe are stronger in love for Allāh. And if only they who have wronged would consider [that] when they see the punishment, [they will be certain] that all power belongs to Allāh and that Allāh is severe in punishment.

إِذْ تَبَرَّأَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتُّبِعُوا۟ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ٱتَّبَعُوا۟ وَرَأَوُا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ وَتَقَطَّعَتْ بِهِمُ ٱلْأَسْبَابُ

جس وقت پیشوا لوگ اپنے تابعداروں سے بیزار ہوجائیں گے اور عذاب کو اپنی آنکھوں سے دیکھ لیں گے اور کل رشتے ناتے ٹوٹ جائیں گے۔

[And they should consider that] when those who have been followed disassociate themselves from those who followed [them], and they [all] see the punishment, and cut off from them are the ties [of relationship],

يَوْمَ تَبْيَضُّ وُجُوهٌ وَتَسْوَدُّ وُجُوهٌ ۚ فَأَمَّا ٱلَّذِينَ ٱسْوَدَّتْ وُجُوهُهُمْ أَكَفَرْتُم بَعْدَ إِيمَـٰنِكُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

جس دن بعض چہرے سفید ہوں گے اور بعض سیاه، سیاه چہرے والوں (سے کہا جائے گا) کہ کیا تم نے ایمان ﻻنے کے بعد کفر کیا؟ اب اپنے کفر کا عذاب چکھو.

On the Day [some] faces will turn white and [some] faces will turn black. As for those whose faces turn black, [to them it will be said], "Did you disbelieve [i.e., reject faith] after your belief? Then taste the punishment for what you used to reject."

إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِنَا سَوْفَ نُصْلِيهِمْ نَارًا كُلَّمَا نَضِجَتْ جُلُودُهُم بَدَّلْنَـٰهُمْ جُلُودًا غَيْرَهَا لِيَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ ۗ إِنَّ ٱللَّهَ كَانَ عَزِيزًا حَكِيمًا

جن لوگوں نے ہماری آیتوں سے کفر کیا، انہیں ہم یقیناً آگ میں ڈال دیں گے جب ان کی کھالیں پک جائیں گی ہم ان کے سوا اور کھالیں بدل دیں گے تاکہ وه عذاب چکھتے رہیں، یقیناً اللہ تعالیٰ غالب حکمت واﻻ ہے۔

Indeed, those who disbelieve in Our verses - We will drive them into a fire. Every time their skins are roasted through, We will replace them with other skins so they may taste the punishment. Indeed, Allāh is ever Exalted in Might and Wise.

وَلَوْ تَرَىٰٓ إِذْ وُقِفُوا۟ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِمْ ۚ قَالَ أَلَيْسَ هَـٰذَا بِٱلْحَقِّ ۚ قَالُوا۟ بَلَىٰ وَرَبِّنَا ۚ قَالَ فَذُوقُوا۟ ٱلْعَذَابَ بِمَا كُنتُمْ تَكْفُرُونَ

اور اگر آپ اس وقت دیکھیں جب یہ اپنے رب کے سامنے کھڑے کئے جائیں گے۔ اللہ فرمائے گا کہ کیا یہ امر واقعی نہیں ہے؟ وه کہیں گے بےشک قسم اپنے رب کی۔ اللہ تعالیٰ فرمائے گا تو اب اپنے کفر کے عوض عذاب چکھو۔

If you could but see when they will be made to stand before their Lord. He will say, "Is this not the truth?" They will say, "Yes, by our Lord." He will [then] say, "So taste the punishment for what you used to deny."
