إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ وَٱلْفُلْكِ ٱلَّتِى تَجْرِى فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ بِمَا يَنفَعُ ٱلنَّاسَ وَمَآ أَنزَلَ ٱللَّهُ مِنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ مِن مَّآءٍ فَأَحْيَا بِهِ ٱلْأَرْضَ بَعْدَ مَوْتِهَا وَبَثَّ فِيهَا مِن كُلِّ دَآبَّةٍ وَتَصْرِيفِ ٱلرِّيَـٰحِ وَٱلسَّحَابِ ٱلْمُسَخَّرِ بَيْنَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّقَوْمٍ يَعْقِلُونَ

آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش، رات دن کا ہیر پھیر، کشتیوں کا لوگوں کو نفع دینے والی چیزوں کو لئے ہوئے سمندروں میں چلنا، آسمان سے پانی اتار کر، مرده زمین کو زنده کردینا، اس میں ہر قسم کے جانوروں کو پھیلا دینا، ہواؤں کے رخ بدلنا، اور بادل، جو آسمان اور زمین کے درمیان مسخر ہیں، ان میں عقلمندوں کے لئے قدرت الٰہی کی نشانیاں ہیں۔

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth, and the alternation of the night and the day, and the [great] ships which sail through the sea with that which benefits people, and what Allāh has sent down from the heavens of rain, giving life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness and dispersing therein every [kind of] moving creature, and [His] directing of the winds and the clouds controlled between the heaven and earth are signs for a people who use reason.

أُحِلَّ لَكُمْ لَيْلَةَ ٱلصِّيَامِ ٱلرَّفَثُ إِلَىٰ نِسَآئِكُمْ ۚ هُنَّ لِبَاسٌ لَّكُمْ وَأَنتُمْ لِبَاسٌ لَّهُنَّ ۗ عَلِمَ ٱللَّهُ أَنَّكُمْ كُنتُمْ تَخْتَانُونَ أَنفُسَكُمْ فَتَابَ عَلَيْكُمْ وَعَفَا عَنكُمْ ۖ فَٱلْـَٔـٰنَ بَـٰشِرُوهُنَّ وَٱبْتَغُوا۟ مَا كَتَبَ ٱللَّهُ لَكُمْ ۚ وَكُلُوا۟ وَٱشْرَبُوا۟ حَتَّىٰ يَتَبَيَّنَ لَكُمُ ٱلْخَيْطُ ٱلْأَبْيَضُ مِنَ ٱلْخَيْطِ ٱلْأَسْوَدِ مِنَ ٱلْفَجْرِ ۖ ثُمَّ أَتِمُّوا۟ ٱلصِّيَامَ إِلَى ٱلَّيْلِ ۚ وَلَا تُبَـٰشِرُوهُنَّ وَأَنتُمْ عَـٰكِفُونَ فِى ٱلْمَسَـٰجِدِ ۗ تِلْكَ حُدُودُ ٱللَّهِ فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا ۗ كَذَٰلِكَ يُبَيِّنُ ٱللَّهُ ءَايَـٰتِهِۦ لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَّقُونَ

روزے کی راتوں میں اپنی بیویوں سے ملنا تمہارے لئے حلال کیا گیا، وه تمہارا لباس ہیں اور تم ان کے لباس ہو، تمہاری پوشیده خیانتوں کا اللہ تعالیٰ کو علم ہے، اس نے تمہاری توبہ قبول فرما کر تم سے درگزر فرمالیا، اب تمہیں ان سے مباشرت کی اور اللہ تعالیٰ کی لکھی ہوئی چیز کو تلاش کرنے کی اجازت ہے، تم کھاتے پیتے رہو یہاں تک کہ صبح کا سفید دھاگہ سیاه دھاگے سے ﻇاہر ہوجائے۔ پھر رات تک روزے کو پورا کرو اور عورتوں سے اس وقت مباشرت نہ کرو جب کہ تم مسجدوں میں اعتکاف میں ہو۔ یہ اللہ تعالیٰ کی حدود ہیں، تم ان کے قریب بھی نہ جاؤ۔ اسی طرح اللہ تعالیٰ اپنی آیتیں لوگوں کے لئے بیان فرماتا ہے تاکہ وه بچیں

It has been made permissible for you the night preceding fasting to go to your wives [for sexual relations]. They are a clothing for you and you are a clothing for them. Allāh knows that you used to deceive yourselves, so He accepted your repentance and forgave you. So now, have relations with them and seek that which Allāh has decreed for you [i.e., offspring]. And eat and drink until the white thread of dawn becomes distinct to you from the black thread [of night]. Then complete the fast until the night [i.e., sunset]. And do not have relations with them as long as you are staying for worship in the mosques. These are the limits [set by] Allāh, so do not approach them. Thus does Allāh make clear His verses [i.e., ordinances] to the people that they may become righteous.

تُولِجُ ٱلَّيْلَ فِى ٱلنَّهَارِ وَتُولِجُ ٱلنَّهَارَ فِى ٱلَّيْلِ ۖ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْحَىَّ مِنَ ٱلْمَيِّتِ وَتُخْرِجُ ٱلْمَيِّتَ مِنَ ٱلْحَىِّ ۖ وَتَرْزُقُ مَن تَشَآءُ بِغَيْرِ حِسَابٍ

تو ہی رات کو دن میں داخل کرتا ہے اور دن کو رات میں لے جاتا ہے، تو ہی بے جان سے جاندار پیدا کرتا ہے اور تو ہی جاندار سے بے جان پیدا کرتا ہے، تو ہی ہے کہ جسے چاہتا ہے بے شمار روزی دیتا ہے۔

You cause the night to enter the day, and You cause the day to enter the night; and You bring the living out of the dead, and You bring the dead out of the living. And You give provision to whom You will without account [i.e., limit or measure]."

۞ لَيْسُوا۟ سَوَآءً ۗ مِّنْ أَهْلِ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ أُمَّةٌ قَآئِمَةٌ يَتْلُونَ ءَايَـٰتِ ٱللَّهِ ءَانَآءَ ٱلَّيْلِ وَهُمْ يَسْجُدُونَ

یہ سارے کے سارے یکساں نہیں بلکہ ان اہل کتاب میں ایک جماعت (حق پر) قائم رہنے والی بھی ہے جو راتوں کے وقت بھی کلام اللہ کی تلاوت کرتے ہیں اور سجدے بھی کرتے ہیں.

They are not [all] the same; among the People of the Scripture is a community standing [in obedience], reciting the verses of Allāh during periods of the night and prostrating [in prayer].

إِنَّ فِى خَلْقِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ وَٱخْتِلَـٰفِ ٱلَّيْلِ وَٱلنَّهَارِ لَـَٔايَـٰتٍ لِّأُو۟لِى ٱلْأَلْبَـٰبِ

آسمانوں اور زمین کی پیدائش میں اور رات دن کے ہیر پھیر میں یقیناً عقلمندوں کے لئے نشانیاں ہیں.

Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of the night and the day are signs for those of understanding -
