يَوْمَ تُقَلَّبُ وُجُوهُهُمْ فِى ٱلنَّارِ يَقُولُونَ يَـٰلَيْتَنَآ أَطَعْنَا ٱللَّهَ وَأَطَعْنَا ٱلرَّسُولَا۠
اس دن ان کے چہرے آگ میں الٹ پلٹ کئے جائیں گے۔ (حسرت وافسوس سے) کہیں گے کہ کاش ہم اللہ تعالیٰ اور رسول کی اطاعت کرتے.
The Day their faces will be turned about in the Fire, they will say, "How we wish we had obeyed Allāh and obeyed the Messenger."
وَقَالُوا۟ رَبَّنَآ إِنَّآ أَطَعْنَا سَادَتَنَا وَكُبَرَآءَنَا فَأَضَلُّونَا ٱلسَّبِيلَا۠
اور کہیں گے اے ہمارے رب! ہم نے اپنے سرداروں اور اپنے بڑوں کی مانی جنہوں نے ہمیں راه راست سے بھٹکا دیا.
And they will say, "Our Lord, indeed we obeyed our masters and our dignitaries, and they led us astray from the [right] way.
