ٱلَّذِينَ إِذَآ أَصَـٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌ قَالُوٓا۟ إِنَّا لِلَّهِ وَإِنَّآ إِلَيْهِ رَٰجِعُونَ
جنہیں، جب کبھی کوئی مصیبت آتی ہے تو کہہ دیا کرتے ہیں کہ ہم تو خود اللہ تعالیٰ کی ملکیت ہیں اور ہم اسی کی طرف لوٹنے والے ہیں۔
Who, when disaster strikes them, say, "Indeed we belong to Allāh, and indeed to Him we will return."
فَكَيْفَ إِذَآ أَصَـٰبَتْهُم مُّصِيبَةٌۢ بِمَا قَدَّمَتْ أَيْدِيهِمْ ثُمَّ جَآءُوكَ يَحْلِفُونَ بِٱللَّهِ إِنْ أَرَدْنَآ إِلَّآ إِحْسَـٰنًا وَتَوْفِيقًا
پھر کیا بات ہے کہ جب ان پر ان کے کرتوت کے باعث کوئی مصیبت آپڑتی ہے تو پھر یہ آپ کے پاس آکر اللہ تعالیٰ کی قسمیں کھاتے ہیں کہ ہمارا اراده تو صرف بھلائی اور میل ملاپ ہی کا تھا۔
So how [will it be] when disaster strikes them because of what their hands have put forth and then they come to you swearing by Allāh, "We intended nothing but good conduct and accommodation."
