وَيَعْبُدُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ مَا لَا يَنفَعُهُمْ وَلَا يَضُرُّهُمْ ۗ وَكَانَ ٱلْكَافِرُ عَلَىٰ رَبِّهِۦ ظَهِيرًا
یہ اللہ کو چھوڑ کر ان کی عبادت کرتے ہیں جو نہ تو انہیں کوئی نفع دے سکیں نہ کوئی نقصان پہنچاسکیں، اور کافر تو ہے ہی اپنے رب کے خلاف (شیطان کی) مدد کرنے واﻻ.
But they worship rather than Allāh that which does not benefit them or harm them, and the disbeliever is ever, against his Lord, an assistant [to Satan].
إِنَّآ أَنذَرْنَـٰكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ ٱلْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ ٱلْكَافِرُ يَـٰلَيْتَنِى كُنتُ تُرَٰبًۢا
ہم نے تمہیں عنقریب آنے والے عذاب سے ڈرا دیا (اور چوکنا کر دیا) ہے۔ جس دن انسان اپنے ہاتھوں کی کمائی کو دیکھ لے گا اور کافر کہے گا کہ کاش! میں مٹی ہو جاتا.
Indeed, We have warned you of an impending punishment on the Day when a man will observe what his hands have put forth and the disbeliever will say, "Oh, I wish that I were dust!"
