أَمْ كُنتُمْ شُهَدَآءَ إِذْ حَضَرَ يَعْقُوبَ ٱلْمَوْتُ إِذْ قَالَ لِبَنِيهِ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ مِنۢ بَعْدِى قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ إِلَـٰهَكَ وَإِلَـٰهَ ءَابَآئِكَ إِبْرَٰهِـۧمَ وَإِسْمَـٰعِيلَ وَإِسْحَـٰقَ إِلَـٰهًا وَٰحِدًا وَنَحْنُ لَهُۥ مُسْلِمُونَ
کیا (حضرت) یعقوب کے انتقال کے وقت تم موجود تھے؟ جب انہوں نے اپنی اوﻻد کو کہا کہ میرے بعد تم کس کی عبادت کرو گے؟ تو سب نے جواب دیا کہ آپ کے معبود کی اور آپ کے آباواجداد ابرہیم ﴿علیہ السلام﴾ اور اسماعیل ﴿علیہ السلام﴾ اور اسحاق ﴿علیہ السلام﴾ کے معبود کی جو معبود ایک ہی ہے اور ہم اسی کے فرمانبردار رہیں گے۔
Or were you witnesses when death approached Jacob, when he said to his sons, "What will you worship after me?" They said, "We will worship your God and the God of your fathers, Abraham and Ishmael and Isaac - one God. And we are Muslims [in submission] to Him."
26:71الشعراءAsh-Shu'ara
قَالُوا۟ نَعْبُدُ أَصْنَامًا فَنَظَلُّ لَهَا عَـٰكِفِينَ
انہوں نے جواب دیا کہ عبادت کرتے ہیں بتوں کی، ہم تو برابر ان کے مجاور بنے بیٹھے ہیں.
They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted."
