وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ أَزْوَٰجَهُمْ وَلَمْ يَكُن لَّهُمْ شُهَدَآءُ إِلَّآ أَنفُسُهُمْ فَشَهَـٰدَةُ أَحَدِهِمْ أَرْبَعُ شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلصَّـٰدِقِينَ

جو لوگ اپنی بیویوں پر بدکاری کی تہمت لائیں اور ان کا کوئی گواه بجز خود ان کی ذات کے نہ ہو تو ایسے لوگوں میں سے ہر ایک کا ﺛبوت یہ ہے کہ چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر کہیں کہ وه سچوں میں سے ہیں.

And those who accuse their wives [of adultery] and have no witnesses except themselves - then the witness of one of them [shall be] four testimonies [swearing] by Allāh that indeed, he is of the truthful.

وَيَدْرَؤُا۟ عَنْهَا ٱلْعَذَابَ أَن تَشْهَدَ أَرْبَعَ شَهَـٰدَٰتٍۭ بِٱللَّهِ ۙ إِنَّهُۥ لَمِنَ ٱلْكَـٰذِبِينَ

اور اس عورت سے سزا اس طرح دور ہوسکتی ہے کہ وه چار مرتبہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر کہے کہ یقیناً اس کا مرد جھوٹ بولنے والوں میں سے ہے.

But it will prevent punishment from her if she gives four testimonies [swearing] by Allāh that indeed, he is of the liars.
