وَٱلَّذِينَ يَرْمُونَ ٱلْمُحْصَنَـٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ فَٱجْلِدُوهُمْ ثَمَـٰنِينَ جَلْدَةً وَلَا تَقْبَلُوا۟ لَهُمْ شَهَـٰدَةً أَبَدًا ۚ وَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْفَـٰسِقُونَ

جو لوگ پاک دامن عورتوں پر زنا کی تہمت لگائیں پھر چار گواه نہ پیش کرسکیں تو انہیں اسی کوڑے لگاؤ اور کبھی بھی ان کی گواہی قبول نہ کرو۔ یہ فاسق لوگ ہیں.

And those who accuse chaste women and then do not produce four witnesses - lash them with eighty lashes and do not accept from them testimony ever after. And those are the defiantly disobedient,

لَّوْلَا جَآءُو عَلَيْهِ بِأَرْبَعَةِ شُهَدَآءَ ۚ فَإِذْ لَمْ يَأْتُوا۟ بِٱلشُّهَدَآءِ فَأُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ هُمُ ٱلْكَـٰذِبُونَ

وه اس پر چار گواه کیوں نہ ﻻئے؟ اور جب گواه نہیں ﻻئے تو یہ بہتان باز لوگ یقیناً اللہ کے نزدیک محض جھوٹے ہیں.

Why did they [who slandered] not produce for it four witnesses? And when they do not produce the witnesses, then it is they, in the sight of Allāh, who are the liars.
