فَٱتَّخَذْتُمُوهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا حَتَّىٰٓ أَنسَوْكُمْ ذِكْرِى وَكُنتُم مِّنْهُمْ تَضْحَكُونَ
(لیکن) تم انہیں مذاق میں ہی اڑاتے رہے یہاں تک کہ (اس مشغلے نے) تم کو میری یاد (بھی) بھلا دی اور تم ان سے مذاق ہی کرتے رہے.
But you took them in mockery to the point that they made you forget My remembrance, and you used to laugh at them.
أَتَّخَذْنَـٰهُمْ سِخْرِيًّا أَمْ زَاغَتْ عَنْهُمُ ٱلْأَبْصَـٰرُ
کیا ہم نے ہی ان کا مذاق بنا رکھا تھا یا ہماری نگاہیں ان سے ہٹ گئی ہیں.
Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?"
