وَأَصْحَـٰبُ مَدْيَنَ ۖ وَكُذِّبَ مُوسَىٰ فَأَمْلَيْتُ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُهُمْ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
اور مدین والے بھی اپنے اپنے نبیوں کو جھٹلا چکے ہیں۔ موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) بھی جھٹلائے جا چکے ہیں پس میں نے کافروں کو یوں ہی سی مہلت دی پھر دھر دبایا، پھر میرا عذاب کیسا ہوا؟
And the inhabitants of Madyan. And Moses was denied, so I prolonged enjoyment for the disbelievers; then I seized them, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
وَكَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ وَمَا بَلَغُوا۟ مِعْشَارَ مَآ ءَاتَيْنَـٰهُمْ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ رُسُلِى ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
اور ان سے پہلے کے لوگوں نے بھی ہماری باتوں کو جھٹلایا تھا اور انہیں ہم نے جو دے رکھا تھا یہ تو اس کے دسویں حصے کو بھی نہیں پہنچے، پس انہوں نے میرے رسولوں کو جھٹلایا، (پھر دیکھ کہ) میرا عذاب کیسا (سخت) تھا.
And those before them denied, and they [i.e., the people of Makkah] have not attained a tenth of what We had given them. But they [i.e., the former peoples] denied My messengers, so how [terrible] was My reproach.
ثُمَّ أَخَذْتُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ ۖ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
پھر میں نےان کافروں کو پکڑ لیا سو میرا عذاب کیسا ہوا.
Then I seized the ones who disbelieved, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
وَلَقَدْ كَذَّبَ ٱلَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِهِمْ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ نَكِيرِ
اوران سے پہلے لوگوں نے بھی جھٹلایا تھا تو دیکھو ان پر میرا عذاب کیسا کچھ ہوا؟
And already had those before them denied, and how [terrible] was My reproach.
