وَنُوحًا إِذْ نَادَىٰ مِن قَبْلُ فَٱسْتَجَبْنَا لَهُۥ فَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
نوح کے اس وقت کو یاد کیجئے جبکہ اس نے اس سے پہلے دعا کی ہم نے اس کی دعا قبول فرمائی اور اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو بڑے کرب سے نجات دی.
And [mention] Noah, when he called [to Allāh] before [that time], so We responded to him and saved him and his family from the great affliction [i.e., the flood].
قَالُوا۟ تَقَاسَمُوا۟ بِٱللَّهِ لَنُبَيِّتَنَّهُۥ وَأَهْلَهُۥ ثُمَّ لَنَقُولَنَّ لِوَلِيِّهِۦ مَا شَهِدْنَا مَهْلِكَ أَهْلِهِۦ وَإِنَّا لَصَـٰدِقُونَ
انہوں نے آپس میں بڑی قسمیں کھا کھا کر عہد کیا کہ رات ہی کو صالح اور اس کے گھر والوں پر ہم چھاپہ ماریں گے، اور اس کے وارﺛوں سے صاف کہہ دیں گے کہ ہم اس کے اہل کی ہلاکت کے وقت موجود نہ تھے اور ہم بالکل سچے ہیں.
They said, "Take a mutual oath by Allāh that we will kill him by night, he and his family. Then we will say to his executor, 'We did not witness the destruction of his family, and indeed, we are truthful.'"
وَنَجَّيْنَـٰهُ وَأَهْلَهُۥ مِنَ ٱلْكَرْبِ ٱلْعَظِيمِ
ہم نے اسے اور اس کے گھر والوں کو اس زبردست مصیبت سے بچا لیا.
And We saved him and his family from the great affliction.
