لَوْ أَرَدْنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ لَهْوًا لَّٱتَّخَذْنَـٰهُ مِن لَّدُنَّآ إِن كُنَّا فَـٰعِلِينَ
اگر ہم یوں ہی کھیل تماشے کا اراده کرتے تو اسے اپنے پاس سے ہی بنا لیتے، اگر ہم کرنے والے ہی ہوتے.
Had We intended to take a diversion, We could have taken it from [what is] with Us - if [indeed] We were to do so.
قَالُوا۟ سُبْحَـٰنَكَ مَا كَانَ يَنۢبَغِى لَنَآ أَن نَّتَّخِذَ مِن دُونِكَ مِنْ أَوْلِيَآءَ وَلَـٰكِن مَّتَّعْتَهُمْ وَءَابَآءَهُمْ حَتَّىٰ نَسُوا۟ ٱلذِّكْرَ وَكَانُوا۟ قَوْمًۢا بُورًا
وه جواب دیں گے کہ تو پاک ذات ہے خود ہمیں ہی یہ زیبا نہ تھا کہ تیرے سوا اوروں کو اپنا کارساز بناتے بات یہ ہے کہ تو نے انہیں اور ان کے باپ دادوں کو آسودگیاں عطا فرمائیں یہاں تک کہ وه نصیحت بھلا بیٹھے، یہ لوگ تھے ہی ہلاک ہونے والے.
They will say, "Exalted are You! It was not for us to take besides You any allies [i.e., protectors]. But You provided comforts for them and their fathers until they forgot the message and became a people ruined."
