وَأَنذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِىَ ٱلْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ
تو انہیں اس رنج وافسوس کے دن کا ڈر سنا دے جبکہ کام انجام کو پہنچا دیا جائے گا، اور یہ لوگ غفلت اور بے ایمانی میں ہی ره جائیں گے.
And warn them, [O Muḥammad], of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be concluded; and [yet], they are in [a state of] heedlessness, and they do not believe.
ٱقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ حِسَابُهُمْ وَهُمْ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مُّعْرِضُونَ
لوگوں کے حساب کا وقت قریب آگیا پھر بھی وه بے خبری میں منھ پھیرے ہوئے ہیں.
[The time of] their account has approached for the people, while they are in heedlessness turning away.
وَٱقْتَرَبَ ٱلْوَعْدُ ٱلْحَقُّ فَإِذَا هِىَ شَـٰخِصَةٌ أَبْصَـٰرُ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ يَـٰوَيْلَنَا قَدْ كُنَّا فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا بَلْ كُنَّا ظَـٰلِمِينَ
اور سچا وعده قریب آلگے گا اس وقت کافروں کی نگاہیں پھٹی کی پھٹی ره جائیں گی، کہ ہائے افسوس! ہم اس حال سے غافل تھے بلکہ فی الواقع ہم قصور وار تھے.
And [when] the true promise [i.e., the resurrection] has approached; then suddenly the eyes of those who disbelieved will be staring [in horror, while they say], "O woe to us; we had been unmindful of this; rather, we were wrongdoers."
وَدَخَلَ ٱلْمَدِينَةَ عَلَىٰ حِينِ غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ أَهْلِهَا فَوَجَدَ فِيهَا رَجُلَيْنِ يَقْتَتِلَانِ هَـٰذَا مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ وَهَـٰذَا مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ ۖ فَٱسْتَغَـٰثَهُ ٱلَّذِى مِن شِيعَتِهِۦ عَلَى ٱلَّذِى مِنْ عَدُوِّهِۦ فَوَكَزَهُۥ مُوسَىٰ فَقَضَىٰ عَلَيْهِ ۖ قَالَ هَـٰذَا مِنْ عَمَلِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنِ ۖ إِنَّهُۥ عَدُوٌّ مُّضِلٌّ مُّبِينٌ
اور موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) ایک ایسے وقت شہر میں آئے جبکہ شہر کے لوگ غفلت میں تھے۔ یہاں دو شخصوں کو لڑتے ہوئے پایا، یہ ایک تو اس کے رفیقوں میں سے تھا اور یہ دوسرا اس کے دشمنوں میں سے، اس کی قوم والے نے اس کے خلاف جو اس کے دشمنوں میں سے تھا اس سے فریاد کی، جس پر موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) نے اس کو مکا مارا جس سے وه مر گیا موسیٰ (علیہ السلام) کہنے لگے یہ تو شیطانی کام ہے، یقیناً شیطان دشمن اور کھلے طور پر بہکانے واﻻ ہے.
And he entered the city at a time of inattention by its people and found therein two men fighting: one from his faction and one from among his enemy. And the one from his faction called for help to him against the one from his enemy, so Moses struck him and [unintentionally] killed him. [Moses] said, "This is from the work of Satan. Indeed, he is a manifest, misleading enemy."
لَّقَدْ كُنتَ فِى غَفْلَةٍ مِّنْ هَـٰذَا فَكَشَفْنَا عَنكَ غِطَآءَكَ فَبَصَرُكَ ٱلْيَوْمَ حَدِيدٌ
یقیناً تو اس سے غفلت میں تھا لیکن ہم نے تیرے سامنے سے پرده ہٹا دیا پس آج تیری نگاه بہت تیز ہے.
[It will be said], "You were certainly in unmindfulness of this, and We have removed from you your cover, so your sight, this Day, is sharp."
