فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ مِن مَّشْهَدِ يَوْمٍ عَظِيمٍ
پھر یہ فرقے آپس میں اختلاف کرنے لگے، پس کافروں کے لئے ویل ہے ایک بڑے (سخت) دن کی حاضری سے.
Then the factions differed [concerning Jesus] from among them, so woe to those who disbelieved - from the scene of a tremendous Day.
يَحْسَبُونَ ٱلْأَحْزَابَ لَمْ يَذْهَبُوا۟ ۖ وَإِن يَأْتِ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ يَوَدُّوا۟ لَوْ أَنَّهُم بَادُونَ فِى ٱلْأَعْرَابِ يَسْـَٔلُونَ عَنْ أَنۢبَآئِكُمْ ۖ وَلَوْ كَانُوا۟ فِيكُم مَّا قَـٰتَلُوٓا۟ إِلَّا قَلِيلًا
سمجھتے ہیں کہ اب تک لشکر چلے نہیں گئے، اور اگر فوجیں آجائیں تو تمنائیں کرتے ہیں کہ کاش! وه صحرا میں بادیہ نشینوں کے ساتھ ہوتے کہ تمہاری خبریں دریافت کیا کرتے، اگر وه تم میں موجود ہوتے (تو بھی کیا؟) نہ لڑتے مگر برائے نام.
They think the companies have not [yet] withdrawn. And if the companies should come [again], they would wish they were in the desert among the bedouins, inquiring [from afar] about your news. And if they should be among you, they would not fight except for a little.
وَثَمُودُ وَقَوْمُ لُوطٍ وَأَصْحَـٰبُ لْـَٔيْكَةِ ۚ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ
اور ﺛمود نے اور قوم لوط نے اور ایکہ کے رہنے والوں نے بھی، یہی (بڑے) لشکر تھے.
And [the tribe of] Thamūd and the people of Lot and the companions of the thicket [i.e., people of Madyan]. Those are the companies.
فَٱخْتَلَفَ ٱلْأَحْزَابُ مِنۢ بَيْنِهِمْ ۖ فَوَيْلٌ لِّلَّذِينَ ظَلَمُوا۟ مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمٍ أَلِيمٍ
پھر (بنی اسرائیل کی) جماعتوں نے آپس میں اختلاف کیا، پس ﻇالموں کے لیے خرابی ہے دکھ والے دن کی آفت سے.
But the denominations from among them differed [and separated], so woe to those who have wronged from the punishment of a painful Day.
