فَكُلِى وَٱشْرَبِى وَقَرِّى عَيْنًا ۖ فَإِمَّا تَرَيِنَّ مِنَ ٱلْبَشَرِ أَحَدًا فَقُولِىٓ إِنِّى نَذَرْتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ صَوْمًا فَلَنْ أُكَلِّمَ ٱلْيَوْمَ إِنسِيًّا

اب چین سے کھا پی اور آنکھیں ٹھنڈی رکھ، اگر تجھے کوئی انسان نظر پڑ جائے تو کہہ دینا کہ میں نے اللہ رحمنٰ کے نام کا روزه مان رکھا ہے۔ میں آج کسی شخص سے بات نہ کروں گی.

So eat and drink and be contented. And if you see from among humanity anyone, say, 'Indeed, I have vowed to the Most Merciful abstention, so I will not speak today to [any] man.'"

يَـٰٓأَبَتِ لَا تَعْبُدِ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ ۖ إِنَّ ٱلشَّيْطَـٰنَ كَانَ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ عَصِيًّا

میرے ابّا جان آپ شیطان کی پرستش سے باز آجائیں شیطان تو رحم وکرم والے اللہ تعالیٰ کا بڑا ہی نافرمان ہے.

O my father, do not worship [i.e., obey] Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient.

أَن دَعَوْا۟ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ وَلَدًا

کہ وه رحمان کی اوﻻد ﺛابت کرنے بیٹھے.

That they attribute to the Most Merciful a son.

وَمَا يَنۢبَغِى لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ أَن يَتَّخِذَ وَلَدًا

شان رحمٰن کے ﻻئق نہیں کہ وه اوﻻد رکھے.

And it is not appropriate for the Most Merciful that He should take a son.

يَوْمَئِذٍ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلدَّاعِىَ لَا عِوَجَ لَهُۥ ۖ وَخَشَعَتِ ٱلْأَصْوَاتُ لِلرَّحْمَـٰنِ فَلَا تَسْمَعُ إِلَّا هَمْسًا

جس دن لوگ پکارنے والے کے پیچھے چلیں گے جس میں کوئی کجی نہ ہوگی اور اللہ رحمنٰ کے سامنے تمام آوازیں پست ہو جائیں گی سوائے کھسر پھسر کے تجھے کچھ بھی سنائی نہ دے گا.

That Day, they [i.e., everyone] will follow [the call of] the Caller [with] no deviation therefrom, and [all] voices will be stilled before the Most Merciful, so you will not hear except a whisper [of footsteps].
