قَالَ رَبِّ إِنِّى وَهَنَ ٱلْعَظْمُ مِنِّى وَٱشْتَعَلَ ٱلرَّأْسُ شَيْبًا وَلَمْ أَكُنۢ بِدُعَآئِكَ رَبِّ شَقِيًّا
کہ اے میرے پروردگار! میری ہڈیاں کمزور ہوگئی ہیں اور سر بڑھاپے کی وجہ سے بھڑک اٹھا ہے، لیکن میں کبھی بھی تجھ سے دعا کر کے محروم نہیں رہا.
He said, "My Lord, indeed my bones have weakened, and my head has filled with white, and never have I been in my supplication to You, my Lord, unhappy [i.e., disappointed].
وَبَرًّۢا بِوَٰلِدَتِى وَلَمْ يَجْعَلْنِى جَبَّارًا شَقِيًّا
اور اس نے مجھے اپنی والده کا خدمت گزار بنایا ہے اور مجھے سرکش اور بدبخت نہیں کیا.
And [made me] dutiful to my mother, and He has not made me a wretched tyrant.
وَأَعْتَزِلُكُمْ وَمَا تَدْعُونَ مِن دُونِ ٱللَّهِ وَأَدْعُوا۟ رَبِّى عَسَىٰٓ أَلَّآ أَكُونَ بِدُعَآءِ رَبِّى شَقِيًّا
میں تو تمہیں بھی اور جن جن کو تم اللہ تعالیٰ کے سوا پکارتے ہو انہیں بھی سب کو چھوڑ رہا ہوں۔ صرف اپنے پروردگار کو پکارتا رہوں گا، مجھے یقین ہے کہ میں اپنے پروردگار سے دعا مانگ کر محروم نہ رہوں گا.
And I will leave you and those you invoke other than Allāh and will invoke my Lord. I expect that I will not be in invocation to my Lord unhappy [i.e., disappointed]."
