وَلَقَدْ صَرَّفْنَا فِى هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانِ لِلنَّاسِ مِن كُلِّ مَثَلٍ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنُ أَكْثَرَ شَىْءٍ جَدَلًا
ہم نے اس قرآن میں ہر ہر طریقے سے تمام کی تمام مثالیں لوگوں کے لئے بیان کردی ہیں لیکن انسان سب سے زیاده جھگڑالو ہے.
And We have certainly diversified in this Qur’ān for the people from every [kind of] example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute.
وَقَالُوٓا۟ ءَأَـٰلِهَتُنَا خَيْرٌ أَمْ هُوَ ۚ مَا ضَرَبُوهُ لَكَ إِلَّا جَدَلًۢا ۚ بَلْ هُمْ قَوْمٌ خَصِمُونَ
اور انہوں نے کہا کہ ہمارے معبود اچھے ہیں یا وه؟ تجھ سے ان کا یہ کہنا محض جھگڑے کی غرض سے ہے، بلکہ یہ لوگ ہیں ہی جھگڑالو.
And they said, "Are our gods better, or is he?" They did not present it [i.e., the comparison] except for [mere] argument. But, [in fact], they are a people prone to dispute.
