مَّا لَهُم بِهِۦ مِنْ عِلْمٍ وَلَا لِـَٔابَآئِهِمْ ۚ كَبُرَتْ كَلِمَةً تَخْرُجُ مِنْ أَفْوَٰهِهِمْ ۚ إِن يَقُولُونَ إِلَّا كَذِبًا
در حقیقت نہ تو خود انہیں اس کا علم ہے نہ ان کے باپ دادوں کو۔ یہ تہمت بڑی بری ہے جو ان کے منھ سے نکل رہی ہے وه نرا جھوٹ بک رہے ہیں.
They have no knowledge of it, nor had their fathers. Grave is the word that comes out of their mouths; they speak not except a lie.
ٱدْعُوهُمْ لِـَٔابَآئِهِمْ هُوَ أَقْسَطُ عِندَ ٱللَّهِ ۚ فَإِن لَّمْ تَعْلَمُوٓا۟ ءَابَآءَهُمْ فَإِخْوَٰنُكُمْ فِى ٱلدِّينِ وَمَوَٰلِيكُمْ ۚ وَلَيْسَ عَلَيْكُمْ جُنَاحٌ فِيمَآ أَخْطَأْتُم بِهِۦ وَلَـٰكِن مَّا تَعَمَّدَتْ قُلُوبُكُمْ ۚ وَكَانَ ٱللَّهُ غَفُورًا رَّحِيمًا
لے پالکوں کو ان کے (حقیقی) باپوں کی طرف نسبت کر کے بلاؤ اللہ کے نزدیک پورا انصاف یہی ہے۔ پھر اگر تمہیں ان کے (حقیقی) باپوں کا علم ہی نہ ہو تو وه تمہارے دینی بھائی اور دوست ہیں، تم سے بھول چوک میں جو کچھ ہو جائے اس میں تم پر کوئی گناه نہیں، البتہ گناه وه ہے جس کا تم اراده دل سے کرو۔ اللہ تعالیٰ بڑا ہی بخشنے واﻻ مہربان ہے.
Call them by [the names of] their fathers; it is more just in the sight of Allāh. But if you do not know their fathers - then they are [still] your brothers in religion and those entrusted to you. And there is no blame upon you for that in which you have erred but [only for] what your hearts intended. And ever is Allāh Forgiving and Merciful.
